Day 1

Hanoi – Cat Ba Island (L, D)

We will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi around 7:30am. From there we drive you to Haiphong City which takes roughly three hours, before you board a speedboat to Cat Ba Island. Once on the island our guide will take you to Cat Ba Town for lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will drive motorbikes along the coast to observe the gorgeous scenery of the island, driving on wild tracks through the National Park which covers most of the island to visit Cannon Fortress and Hospital Cave, both sites that held great significance during the war.
You will then ride back to Cat Ba Town and visit the local market where you can learn some more about local life and traditions before having dinner and staying overnight in a homestay with a local family

Day 2

Cat Ba Island – Lan Ha Bay – Island Bungalow (B, L, D)

After breakfast you will embark on a boat trip around the beautiful Lan Ha Bay. Feel free to sit back and relax while you enjoy the stunning karst archipelago as you cruise into hidden lagoons. There will be plenty of time during the cruise for both swimming and kayaking, as the whole day is dedicated to enjoying the turquoise waters of the bay. We will also visit several caves and floating villages.
Once the sun sets we will take you to the resort on Nam Cat Island where you can enjoy dinner and a luxurious overnight stay

Day 3

Lan Ha Bay – Cat Ba Island – Hanoi (B, L)

Your morning will be free to discover and explore Nam Cat Island before our boat comes to collect you for the return journey to Cat Ba Island. You can once again enjoy the views on the way back, and we’ll make a stop in a local fishing village before arriving back on the main island. Here we will take you to a local restaurant for lunch, and then at 14:30 you will start the journey back to Hanoi where the tour ends.
